Submission Requirements to Apply for CAMComp MI Workers’ Comp


To apply for coverage, your client must meet a few basic guidelines. To help speed up the application process, please review the requirements and ensure your client can meet them.

CAMComp Minimum Requirements

Note: Meeting these requirements does not ensure coverage for your client. The CAMComp team will review all applicants for final approval.

Your client must be a member in good standing with at least one of the following:

  • Construction Association of Michigan (CAM)
  • CAM Tri-Cities
  • Builders and Remodelers Association of Ann Arbor (BRAG) 

PLUS:

  • Risk establishes that it’s primarily a contractor, sub-contractor or is a supplier of materials for the construction industry 
  • Qualifying EMR of 1.50 or lower (over 1.50 would need to be reviewed by the excess carrier) 
  • At least 2 years in business
  • 2 years of loss runs
  • Qualifying financial - current assets/current liabilities at least 1 to 1 ratio with a positive net worth 
  • Member in good standing with a qualifying Trade Association
